After 26 years of being away from the country that I was born in, I finally found my way back to visit my aunt that was diagnosed with terminal cancer. And because of my trip I quit a job I was unhappy in and when I returned from my 2 month trip, I launched my own business. All because of my Aunt. The week I spent with her was more than I could imagine. She told me stories about herself and my father growing up. She was an amazing woman. The three months she was in that small room would of driven anyone crazy and restless. But she was a calm and positive patient. I miss her. The day she passed away was a rainy day. I was driving while thinking about her. All of the sudden the sun came out with the most beautiful colors of pink and purple. I knew then she was happy and everywhere. We couldn't get her the medicine she needed but Darlene did her best. Thank you.

CML would have meant nothing till Sept 2000. But then, the realisation had its initial impact.But Kala was admirably brave and could find solace in her music even when pain and blast crisis was taking its toll on her. Even in her semi-conscious final days, her lips were trying to repeat the favourite songs sung into her ears. Life is a song. Unfortunately it was a very short song, in her case! We lost our son Scott William Walls after a 6 month battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Burkett's B-cell. Scott was 33 years old and left a wife of 2 years and a baby daughter, yet to be born. Emma Elizabeth Walls was born 3 months after Scott passed away. Scott knew he was going to have a daughter and did name her. Scott was loved by so many and is missed by so many. He was such a caring, loving person. He worked as a Physician's Associate in Internal Medicine at St. Raphael's Hospital in New Haven, CT. As his mother, not a day goes by that I don't think of him. He did suffer allot but his faith in God was always there. He knew all was in God's hands but worried so much about his wife, mother and child that he would be leaving behind. Even through his illness he comforted others. I cannot wait to see him again. God Bless you honey. Love, Mom
